Devlog-10: Public & Private Chat Are Live, Referral Rewards Are Here, and a New Web3 Payment Option Is Coming
June 2, 2026 / Orion's Gate Team
In Devlog-10, we share major progress on our Web3 game: the chat system is now live, the referral rewards system is active, a new alternative Web3 payment option is in development, and hybrid Web2 onboarding is planned for the next sprint.

The last month has been all about turning important systems into real, usable features inside our game. Some updates that were previously in development are now complete, while others have been reprioritized to keep our roadmap focused and production-ready.
This cycle, we made major progress in three core areas: player communication, community growth, and transaction flexibility.
From a fully working chat system to a live referral rewards feature, Devlog #10 reflects a clear step forward in making our Web3 game more social, more connected, and more rewarding for players.
Public and Private Chat Are Now Live
One of the biggest completed features from this month is the chat system.
Players can now join the public chat to take part in the wider community conversation, and they can also open a private chat with another player for direct communication.
This is a major milestone for the game because strong social systems are essential for a live multiplayer experience. A world feels far more alive when players can do more than complete objectives. They should also be able to talk, coordinate, socialize, and build connections naturally while playing.
With public and private messaging now fully implemented, players have more freedom in how they interact:
Public chat supports open community activity and shared conversation.
Private chat makes it easier to coordinate, build friendships, and communicate one-on-one.
This feature was previously part of our forward-looking development plans. Now, it is complete and available as a real part of the player experience.
That matters not only for today's gameplay, but also for the future. Strong chat infrastructure creates a solid foundation for larger community features, live events, and more meaningful interaction inside social spaces like the Intergalactic Döner House.
Referral Rewards Are Officially Active
Another important development this month is the launch of the referral system.
Earlier on, we introduced the invite link feature as a way for players to share access with others. That was the first step. Now, the system has evolved into something much more useful and rewarding.
Players can now share their unique invitation link with friends and collect rewards when those invited players use the link to register.
This transforms referrals from a simple sharing feature into a meaningful growth system. It gives players a direct reason to invite others into the game while also helping build stronger communities around the experience.
Referral systems are powerful because they do more than grow numbers. They encourage players to become active participants in shaping the world around them. Inviting friends is not just good for growth. It makes the game more social, more personal, and more community-driven.
This is exactly the direction we want to keep building toward.
A New Alternative Payment System Is in Development
We are also actively working on an alternative payment system.
This is an important point to clarify: this is still a Web3 integration, but it uses a different type of currency than the one currently in focus.
For us, this is not about replacing the Web3 foundation we have already built. It is about expanding flexibility in a smart way. A broader payment structure can improve accessibility, support different player preferences, and open more options for marketplace activity in the future.
As our ecosystem continues to grow, transaction flexibility becomes increasingly important. Players should have options that feel intuitive and practical, especially as the in-game economy becomes more layered.
This feature is still in progress, but it is one of the more exciting developments on the roadmap because it reflects a bigger goal: making the Web3 game economy more adaptable without losing what makes it unique.
Hybrid Web2 Onboarding Is Temporarily on Hold
Another important update from this month involves the Web2 onboarding hybrid system.
In previous devlogs, we shared that hybrid onboarding had become a major part of our accessibility strategy. That remains true. We still believe this feature is important for making the game easier to enter, especially for players who are less familiar with Web3-native flows.
However, during this sprint, we decided to put development on hold temporarily.
Rather than stretching the team too thin, we prioritized the features that were closer to completion and had a more immediate impact on gameplay and community interaction. As a result, hybrid onboarding has moved into close future planning and is expected to return in the next development sprint.
This is not a cancellation or a shift away from the idea. It is a scheduling decision, and in many ways, it is the right one. Healthy production depends on knowing when to accelerate and when to pause so the overall product can move forward in a stronger way.
Hybrid onboarding is still very much part of our roadmap, and we look forward to pushing it forward again soon. As a matter of fact, we are closer to completing it rather than leaving it alone. We will get back at this topic very soon.
Why This Development Cycle Matters
What makes this month especially important is that it shows progress in systems that directly affect how players experience the game every day.
Chat improves social connection.
Referral rewards strengthen community growth.
Alternative payment development expands future marketplace flexibility.
Hybrid onboarding planning keeps accessibility high on our priority list.
These are not isolated features. Together, they shape how welcoming, social, and scalable the game can become.
That is the real story of Devlog-10. We are not just adding features for the sake of adding features. We are building the systems that support long-term engagement and make the overall experience more complete.
What Comes Next
Looking ahead, our next focus areas are becoming clearer.
We want to continue improving the social side of the game, strengthen the economy layer with new payment options, and bring hybrid onboarding back into active development. Each of these pieces supports the same long-term goal: creating a game that feels both deeply Web3 and genuinely accessible to a wider audience.
That balance matters to us.
We have always believed in the strength of on-chain systems, but we also know that great game experiences depend on usability, strong communication, and low-friction entry points. This sprint helped reinforce all three.
Closing Thoughts
Devlog-10 is a strong example of how the game is maturing.
The chat system is complete.
The referral rewards system is live.
The alternative Web3 payment system is now in development.
And hybrid onboarding remains close on the roadmap.
This month's work gave us stronger community tools, a better player-sharing loop, and a clearer production focus for what comes next.
Step by step, the world we are building is becoming more connected, more flexible, and more ready for players.
